  July 27 - Thursday I worked on my project remotely so there is nothing much to talk about here other than my delayed flight headed to San Francisco later that day to attend the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. To top it off, I had to pay extra for a carry-on but you know, anything for Ms. Swift!  July 28 - Friday This day I was off because I went to see the one and only Ms. Taylor. Earlier, since my university was on the way to the Taylor concert we took a pitstop and I had a little photoshoot. GO TREES! MOTHER   July 31 - Monday  This day was very slow. The most I did this day was scan over 100 pages from a book for my project. It was very tedious and my back ached. I sorted through the pages and added them to my google classroom. This took roughly 2 hours. I had some check-ins with my supervisor and my day was done.  August 1 - Tuesday  I worked from home so nothing really to elaborate on except working on my Google Classroom.  August 2 - Wednesday...

  ~August 3, 2023~ Thursday was a relatively relaxed day at camp, since the campers dedicated most of the time to working on putting the final touches on the previous day’s projects, coloring even more dinosaurs, and watching some YouTube videos. For some reason, this group of campers was really into dancing and gymnastics, so our team kept putting on dance videos like Kidz Bop so that they could work off some of their extra energy. Many of the girls had clearly taken a few years of gymnastics and were showing off their handsprings and cartwheels to one another. During lunch, we even challenged the boys and girls to have a dance-off since they were having so much fun! During breaktime, after finishing exploring HEBBA for the last time, Ms. Casey and I took a couple of the campers back to Mt. Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science Week 4 Conservation Week Day 16-18 (August 7-9,2023): For this week I decided to combine these days because I did pretty much the same thing everyday. I started out the week sitting in on a meeting about an upcoming conservation program they have with underprivileged high schoolers. It was nice to see the efforts the Museum is making not just in conservation, but also in helping those who want to find careers in marine sciences but don't have the means to do so. I also did surveying, I stood in front of the gift shop and asked people to take a survey about what they know about Florida's coral reefs. A lot of the time I had to translate the survey in Spanish, which was a bit tricky with all of the technical terms that they used in the survey. Overall though in 3 days, or 6 hours, I got about 56 surveys. I thought that was a pretty good number with all the no's I received and also having to survey every 3rd person. I then worked on...

Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science Week 3 Husbandry Week  Day 10 (7/31/2023):  I did not go into my internship today because I was doing my story time. When I go there Amanda, the YAP alumni helping me, was already there and showed me where I would be setting everything up. We then did the set up and finished 30 minutes before it was time for the actual reading. When they time came a few people showed up, but it was really fun to read the book. I liked making over the top expressions and interacting with the kids. Once I finished reading the book I had the kids do the activity books and I walked around to see all the things they were creating. I really enjoyed seeing all the kids get creative.      Day 11 (8/1/2023):  I was so excited for Husbandry week because this let me live out my alternate life of being a marine biologist, but it definitely validated that it wasn't for me.
