NHCC Week 4 and Book Reading: Angel Serrano

NHCC Week 4: Angel Serrano

Thursday, July 27th 2023: Day 12

On July 27th, I created labels and re-organized the wagons so they were color coded. This included printing, designing, and laminating. Elena and I went to the downstairs classroom to get materials to play with clay. I then got to play with clay to see if I could follow my steps. I made a cute little dinosaur. I then got a tour of the museum storage and backrooms from one of the curators Emily.

Friday, July 28th 2023: Day 13

On July 28th, I continued to organized more wagons and create wagons that could be used for different generic programs. I designed and laminated different signs. I then organized and labeled different supplies from leftover projects at education. I then went home after someone crashed their car into the theater department of the museum.

Saturday, July 29th: Book Reading

On July 29th, I read at the South Valley Library. I set up activities and read the book to a group of children. I then told them and helped them with activities. I then cleaned up and thanked the library staff.

Reflection

This week, I continued to practice skills  like graphic design, laminating papers, copying paper, and organization. I got to read the Book and interact with people at a library. This is what we waited for since Washington Week and I got to be apart some of the inclusion that we learned about.
